Real walking · Impossible-spaces VR for Meta Quest

Your room is bigger than it looks.

traVRsal reshapes room-scale VR around the space you have—so you walk naturally through adventures, stations, galleries and worlds that should never fit inside it.

One real room · many impossible ones

The room ends here.
The world doesn’t.

traVRsal keeps every step real, then changes the architecture around that step. The result is a route that feels continuous even when its rooms overlap in physical space.

Hand-drawn explanation showing the virtual route a player experiences and the overlapping path fitted into one physical play area
The original traVRsal sketch: one play area can host many consecutive virtual places.
01

Measure what is real

Map your clear floor.

traVRsal starts with the room-scale boundary you define. A clear rectangle from 1.5 × 1.5 metres is enough; a larger room simply gives the world more choices.

02

Fold what is virtual

Let rooms overlap.

Each space is believable while you stand inside it. Behind the scenes, the next chamber can reuse floor occupied by the one you just left.

03

Keep every step yours

Walk. Turn. Continue.

Doorways and corners become spatial seams. You never need to fake the distance: your own footsteps carry you through the impossible route.

Not one fixed adventure

Every threshold can change the genre.

Meet the worlds

11+ worlds · First-party and community-made

A platform of places,
not a corridor of levels.

Ancient traps become lonely stations, action arenas, art spaces and multiplayer experiments. The impossible-space engine is the thread; each world decides where it leads.

01 · Adventure

Pyramid

Descend through pressure plates, traps and chambers that cannot fit together—yet do. Every real step takes you farther below the surface.

Hero-level traps · hands in action · a route that folds through itself
02 · Survival

SpaceMan

Wake alone on a damaged station. Search connected modules and repair critical systems while the same patch of floor becomes an entire vessel.

Hands-on repair · isolation · a science-fiction station larger than home
03 · Action

AI TakeOver

Dodge hostile machines, move between cover and react with your whole body. Here the shape of your real room becomes part of the challenge.

Whole-body action · hands under pressure · room-aware encounters
04 · Multi-chapter climb

The Tower

A magnificent ascent built around physical climbing. Reach, grip, balance and pull your way upward as multiple chapters reinvent the route—and the same patch of floor becomes impossible height.

Real hands in action · multiple chapters · physical climbing
06+ · Community

And then, someone else opens a door.

Narrative experiments, mazes, art spaces and original mechanics turn the same spatial foundation into many different voices.

A few useful answers.

What is traVRsal?

traVRsal is a collection and creation platform for room-scale Meta Quest experiences. Its worlds use overlapping architecture, portals and adaptive generation so you can walk through environments larger than your physical room.

Which headsets are supported?

traVRsal officially supports the Meta Quest platform. Follow the primary store link for the current device compatibility shown by Meta.

How much space do I need?

A clear rectangular room-scale area of at least 1.5 × 1.5 metres is the starting point. More space gives compatible worlds more room to vary their layout.

Do I move with a joystick?

The signature traVRsal experiences are designed around natural walking. You physically walk and turn inside your boundary while the virtual architecture makes repeated use of the same floor.

Is traVRsal one story or several worlds?

It is a hub of varied first-party and community worlds, including adventures, action challenges, experiments, art spaces and multiplayer experiences.

Can I create my own world?

Yes. Creators can use the public Unity SDK and traVRsal Studio workflow. Start with the world-builder guide, then join Discord for help and feedback.
